Treatment
How Acupuncture WorksAcupuncture treats mind, body and emotions. It is a way of treating health conditions by placing very fine needles along energy channels to even the flow of vital energy or qi. Invisible energy channels run through the body connecting the exterior with the interior and all the organ systems of the human body. A disharmony in the flow of qi in one channel or part of the body will often effect the flow of qi through the whole network of channels. I can access this disharmony through the acupuncture points located along these channels. Acupuncture is especially effective in treating conditions which have a physical and an emotional dimension, as a person’s emotional state is symptomatic of his or her physical condition.
The acupuncture needles I use are very fine and designed for quick and comfortable use. I use high quality, sterile, disposable needles.
How Cupping WorksSpecially designed suction cups are placed on the skin on tense and sore muscles. The suction helps relieve stiffness and improve circulation.
